No, a CD duplicator has a CD controller and it can not be upgraded to copy DVD's by changing the firmware. A new controller and drives are required to burn DVDs.

Yes, the trays in the burners have indentations for smaller discs.

| 5. Can the controller firmware be updated? |
Yes, the firmware for the controller can be updated if tech support recommends. It is done by downloading the latest firmware and burning to a cd and then it will autoload into the controller.

| 6. Since I purchased my EDI tower duplicator, faster writers have appeared on the market. I would like to update my unit with these newer drives. Is this possible? |
We would first need the model and serial number of your unit. We would then determine if an upgrade is feasible. Once approved, we can then provide you with the cost and schedule your unit for the update.

No, there are no modifications that can be made to the controller to allow DVDs with copy protection to be copied. No, there are no firmware changes that will bypass copy protection for copying of commercial DVD movies. We do not offer any products that violate copyright protection methods.

A Master Reset can be performed by powering off the duplicator, then while holding the MODE button depressed, power the duplicator back on while keeping the MODE button depressed for 4-5 seconds. A Master Reset will have been performed.
